This year Deki the lynx is 6 years old! He was first spotted by a camera-trap in 2013, as an eight-month-old kitten moving behind his mother in Mavrovo.
From February to July 2016 we tracked the movement of Deki with the help of a GPS collar and established that he is somewhat of a record-holder in terms of his territory which spans 888 km2 or twice the territory of his neighbors Martin and Marko.
